Review: The Nasty "Murder Mask"

The Nasty have finally unleashed their newest masterpiece, that being their new EP "Murder Mask", that was released by  P.I.G Records. The band, hailing from Dover, NH headed into the studio and recorded these five blazing songs that appear on "Murder Mask", with Ryan Stack(Hammer Bros, Late Nite Wars, Villain, Watchfire) at Andrew Lane's Recording Studio in Haverhill, MA. "Murder Mask", the follow up to their debut record "The Graves", that was released in 2009 on Arrest Records. The only way to really describe this would be fast, girtty, thrashy punk mixed with all the elements of modern day hardcore. It has all sorts of elements thrown at you throughout the record, and even includes a small guest appearance from Barack, who sings for the Merrimack Valley hardcore band, Think Again. Even though does not appear on the recording, The Nasty has recently enlisted Josh Hynes(Drug Test, Hammer Bros), on guitar and have been playing shows non stop as of late. If you live in the New England area, make sure you come out to show and check The Nasty out. They will not disappoint and neither does "Murder Mask".
